a day in the park

Mattison goes to the park for the 1st time about 3 weeks ago and loved every second. Mattison has a HUGE love for shoes and when I say HUGE I mean it. I have never seen a baby love shoes like she does. She has a ton of shoes and will go pick a pair out and want me to put them on her.....of course after that she goes to the front door and wants to go outside :) Matt is a little bit worried about her shoe obsession because he realizes shoes get very expensive as girls grow! I guess that is what he gets for complaining all these years about Baylee HATING shoes ha! Baylee would rather be bare foot any day and if she does have to wear shoes - her favorite Old Navy $2 flip flops!!!

MUSEUMS

Last Saturday Brooke, Lauren and I decided to take the kids to Oak Ridge Children's Museum... I was awesome...it was a free day and we had never been there. It was amazed and the exhibits that they had for the children were awesome! I highly recommend taking your children there if you have not already been! Here are Mattison and Lexi getting ready to go into the museum...

Lexi and Mattison playing with dolls in the HUGE doll house

Is this not every little girl's dream dollhouse !?!?!?!

ALL DONE! The girls loved it

never had a kitchen table.....

and this was Baylee

Baylee being the age of nine.....never had a real kitchen table until now! And we LOVE it! I think it is a very special time for a family to sit around a kitchen table and eat, talk and laugh. Our lives are so busy that it seems like we never have a moment of silence to "just talk" . With children...I believe it is SOOO very important to give them these moments! The table is a basic 4 chair table as you see so maybe one day we will graduate to a 8 person table and invite people over for dinner...... :-)

Already ONE......

That is Mattison....I can not believe that she is already ONE

I decided that this year we would have a "small" family party at our home. I am not use to this because we always have big parties but for more than one reason we wanted to do just family this year...Next year we will do a PARTY PARTY! Mattison had a blast though! I had Carly make a cake which by the way was FABULOUS!!! Her cakes are awesome, beautiful and delicious! We have enjoyed every single moment of this past year watching Mattison grow and change so quickly! Baylee loves being a "big sister"!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MATTISON!!

LADY VOLS.......

Baylee is a huge sports fan. She loves to play and watch any type of sport...1 being basketball. Generally we go to a few Vols basketball games a year and the rest Baylee will watch on TV. We went to the last home game for the season on Sunday. UT vs. LSU. Baylee and Haveyn had been given signature basketballs to get Pat Summit's autograph....And we succeeded!!! (I didn't know what we would do with this nice basketball with no signature but luckily we got it!!!) Baylee and Haveyn were so excited to meet Pat Summit! Here are a few pictures from the game :)
GO LADY VOLS!!!!!!

Two future Lady Vols!!! By the way "our" basketball team is undefeated in the Championship. We will play Thursday.....if we win then we are the Champions....If we lose we play again Friday for the Championship!!! Wish us luck!!!
