Mommy Day Weekend ;-)

This past weekend was a lil’ busy for the Melton crew! First we started off with an AAU Basketball Tournament in Maryville Friday night. After getting home somewhere around 11 that night we had to be back up there at 8 on Saturday morning. Baylee had two games on Saturday…games went great and the girls played hard ;-) We got home at 4 and had to be at Roane State by 6 for Baylee’s Spring Dance Recital. After the Recital we went and ate at Redbones with our friends Jess and Aaron and some of their family! We love them ;-) Sunday morning we met my mom and brother for some good ole Cracker Barrel breakfast = THE BEST!!!(Matt got off lucky without having to cook me breakfast)Then off to our last recital. Finally we ended the evening visiting with Matt’s parents! I hope all you lil’ Mommy’s had an awesome Mommy Day weekend!

I am truly blessed beyond words!

I can think of a million and two reasons why I LOVE being a mommy ;-) No I won’t list them all for you…. It’s a one of a kind relationship that words can truly never explain! I became a mommy at a young age….it was definitely a shocking surprise to both myself and my family. One month before I graduated high school I found out I was pregnant at the age of 16. Lots and Lots of emotions ;-) I would not change a single second even if I could…. Baylee Elizabeth was born shortly after I turned 17. It has been an AMAZING 10 years! I am so proud of that little gal. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t the easiest thing growing up ASAP at 16…but it’s not a choice at that point and everyone makes a decision…and I had a baby girl that needed 100% of me. Luckily my mother supported me from day one… It seems there are so many teen parents that are not raising their children and this breaks my heart. Being a mommy is not an age thing….It’s a person thing ;-) Just love em’, hold em’. They grow fast! Now Baylee shares her spot with Miss Mattison Grace. I thought that parenting may be different as I got older(having baby at 17 vs. 24)….nope…I am still the same mommy! Life is perfect! Love my girls ;-)
