pumpkin' paintin' party

our first ever....and it is just the beginning to many many more.

  I had the girls a pumpkin' paintin' party this year. It.WAS.aWesome!!

Baylee invited 10 gals and mattison invited her "bestfriend Raina". I had Carrie at Ellaminnowpea create some invites that were super cute. We did not tell any of the girls or their mommas about the party....we just mailed the invites. It was a 100% turn out and ALL of the little gals were super excited! I provided EVERYTHING form the food, paint, pumpkins, aprons etc......I kept it simple with just pizza and oreo balls (which are Amazing if you have never had one......and super easy to make) I had aprons made for each girl with her name on it(made by my awesome mother in law)....every year the girls will bring their aprons back and we will date stamp them.....

if you have kiddos I would highly suggest a pumpkin' paintin' party! loved it

REESE LOVE

This past Friday we got to meet our new little niece...Reese.  Matt was out of town on business so the girls and I headed to the hospital after work ;-)

 

Of course we just HAD to stop and get some Reese Cupcakes 

They brought Reese to the window so that Miss Mattison could meet her new lil' cousin.  Mattison was so excited. 

We celebrated at Mattison's favorite place EVER!

Baylee is known as the baby thief...she love all little babies.

And of course Saturday we had ballgames.  Love watching this gal play ball!

We had a great weekend ;-)

 

We are loving all these babies we are getting to spoil.  we are still expecting one more little niece...Jolie...we can not wait until she gets here and we can share some love with her too!

 

 

MIA for a Month ;-)

Wow....how does a month go by and I have not once thought....'hey maybe I will share that for the world to see'....ok realistically my 3 people that check up on me from time to time. lil' country gal can dream and imagine that the WHOLE world is waiting for her next blog update! ;-) well its not that I haven't wanted to blog almost daily because of all the exciting moments in the melton's lives but to be completely honest I haven't blogged due to lack of energy. Its sad that I go back through my pictures on my phone to remember just everything that we have been doing! One awesome thing that happened in September....(okay maybe there was 2 awesome things)...I got a "neu" baby nephew and I had a birthday!!! Allow me to introduce you to Mr. Cooper Vance ;-)

We also took Miss Baylee on her first outing with her BF... we went to a UT game!

Both Kiddos had played ball that day so they were both tired.

I've been a little crafty lately. I have made several of these wreaths....i think they are super cute and they are super easy! i LOVE easy stuff!

Thought I would end it with this...I just love this little saying!  Having two daughters now...I want them to know the importance of being yourself and being proud of yourself. 

I love being unperfect ;-)

We went to MANY showers, birthday parties and get togethers in the month of September. 

We had lots of ball games. 

So as for October..... I will try my best to stay up to date!

Why is it that EVERY weekend flies by....

 I love our weekends! even though every weekend seems full to the top I still love every moment.  This weekend started off with a trip to Hobby Lobby Menchie's with Rachel

Baylee had a basketball tournament 

We went to Aaron's family cabin to celebrate Mr. Craig's Birthday ;-)

do you ever have a week (or month in my case) that feels like it will never get better....now dont get me wrong i know i have more blessing than stars in the sky but when something bothers me it seems huge. so im so happy it's Friday and from now til sunday im spending my days with my loves!!!  happy friday ya'll!

its the little things that are the BIG things.....

What makes your heart smile?  Is it money, thoughts of your friends and family, hug from a stranger, kiss from your love, flowers from a friend, presents, surprises or just a simple word or two.  You never know what day someone has had and how just a simple "thank you" or "you are pretty" can do.  Baylee is probably the MOST PERSONABLE person I have EVER met in my life.  She hugs EVERYONE from waitresses, flight attendants, teachers and complete strangers.  And to her it is just natural.  She loves giving compliments and i love it.  Every time she sees someone in military uniform she goes out of her way to say a simple "thank you"....so last week she, mattison and I had stopped to get gas at a gas station in Knoxville and there was a woman on the other side of the pumps in military uniform. Baylee runs over to her and gives her a BIG BAYLEE HUG (trust me these things aren't a little pat...she gives the real deal...as she says) and a simple thank you with the biggest smile ever.  I looked over at the lady as Baylee is on her way back to the car and the lady is smiling from ear to ear just like Baylee. NOW.... THIS MADE MY HEART SMILE!!!! ;-) so now that is my thought for today....go make your heart smile!

1st Place!

Saturday we had to be in Fountain City at 8:15.  So we left the house around 7:30.  Matt and Mattison stayed home because Matt had somewhere to be at 4:00.  I missed Miss Mattison all day and regretted not taking her.....UNTIL...about 9:00PM and I realized we still had a few hours.  So we made a quick trip to Starbucks (one of the favorites) and we got home at 1:10AM!!! BUT Krush got 1st place!  Way to go girlies!!!

 Sometimes you just got to find a way ;-)
