Christmas fun 2009.........

I couldn't believe that Santa really came.......Baylee said that Santa is getting a little older these days and his sight is not so good anymore and that is why he came to our house!!!! We had a wonderful and busy Christmas once again! I loved getting to see family, talk, play games and of course eat a ton of food!!!! Here are just a couple pictures of this year.....

Where does time go????

Sorry I have not been the "Best Blogger" and I apologize.....I seems like we are so busy all the time! But I am going to try and do better. 2 Days Until Christmas!!!!!!!!! Baylee has started playing Basketball this year, this is her first year playing and she is loving it! Her first game was this past Saturday and she got a "basket" (I never in my life even attempted Basketball so I am not 100% sure what the term for that is....please forgive me) We had taken Baylee and her best friend Haveyn to the men's UT game the last Tuesday to get them ready for their big game and they LOVED it! Baylee couldn't even talk after the game! I think now the only sport Baylee hasn't played is soccer and I am sure that she will try that soon! She has cheered, loves dance, fast pitch softball and now basketball and I wonder why we are so busy!! Here are a few of her pictures in action.......

Sunday I met up with some friends and ate at Soccer Taco in Market Square! It was so good to see everyone and especially Lexie, Brooke's little girl!! I had not seen her since the hospital, which was a month ago ,she is getting big and is so gorgeous!!!

Last night Baylee and two of her good friends, Haveyn and Keyona (and Moms) met up for dinner and a movie and exchanging Christmas presents!! We had so much fun! Baylee loves her gifts!!!

EVERYONE needs a Snuggie for the movies!!!!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!! I can't wait to spend the next few days with family and friend!! We will update after Santa comes to town!!!!

Thanksgiving.......

Sorry this is a week late.....But I do want to share a few pictures. I forgot my camera on actual Thanksgiving Day but I did get some pictures from our early thanksgiving dinner with my Mom. This year my mom's family gathered in Florida at my grandparents house! I really wanted to be with them but it was too hard to travel right now......but Mom and Greg got to come to Tennessee a week early so we had a dinner! It was Great!! Thank you Mom for all the cooking that you did!
Thanksgiving Day was still a very busy day for us!! We decided; along with my Dad; that this year we would go to Knoxville and hand out some dinners for the homeless people. So we ended up with $300 and bought 30 meals at Cracker Barrell (the meal was great deal 8.99 for everything including drink and pie) and everyone loves Cracker Barrell!! Thank you everyone that help us with the $300!! We hope to make this a tradition and who knows how many dinners we can purchase next year! This year it was just my Dad, Matthew, Baylee, Me and Rick (my dad's friend and his brother). This was a great thing for Matt, Baylee and I. We really enjoyed helping the people and they just made our day! They were all so nice!
After that we went to Misty and Brad's for Matt's Family Dinner! The food was great! Then to my Aunt Diane's for more food......and finally Dovie's house for some soup!!! Thank you everyone for making our Thanksgiving so special!!!! We love you all!

Ready for the next 30 years.......

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY RICKY!!!! Yesterday my BIG BIG brother celebrated his 30th Birthday!! Offically out of his twenties and into his thirties!! Must feel great!!! I am not too far behind and I know the years just keep flying by faster and faster! Hope you had a wonderful 30th Birthday!! We love you!

Welcome Alexis Jayne Jenkins!!!! Brooke had her baby November 20th!! Lauren and I went up to the hospital Saturday morning. We were so excited to see Lexie...She is so gorgeous! And Brooke and Bobby are doing great! Congratulations!!

Happy Birthday Jess!! We had a great time at dinner!! We love you!

I want to say Happy Late Birthday to Aunt Shelly!! I hope that you had a wonderful day! We love you!

Happy Veterans Day.........

Happy Veterans Day to all of the past and present people in our country that have served for our country! I have two special men in my life that served for our country......both of my Grandfathers. I called them both today to let them know how much this meant to me and my family!

This first picture is my Papaw....he served in the Navy. He was enjoying looking at Christmas lights today so I didn't get any good stories but I am glad he was enjoying his evening! We love you and thank you Papaw!





This second picture is my Pop. My Pop served in the Army and was stationed in Fort Hood. He enlisted in the Army after Graduating from TTU and served for 3 years. At that time enlist time was 2 years and he stayed an extra year to attend flight school. He flew both helicopters and fixed wing planes. Listening to his stories today was very interesting and enjoyable. After he completed his enlistment; he was accepted to Dental School in Memphis! Thank you Pop for sharing your stories and all of your hard work for your family and country!! We love you!!

I also wanted to say Thank You to both Matthew's Brother-in-laws who served in the military; Brad and Allan!!! We are so lucky to have all of these men and women who serve time for our country!!!

Halloween 2009......

This year was a fun Halloween for Baylee. We meet up with her Best Friend Haveyn and Trick-or-Treated! They really enjoying running from house to house (not too mention Heather and I got plenty of exercise....somehow Matthew drove the car....huh) ! And then............Baylee went to her 1st Haunted House!! She was trying to be really brave for her friend Haveyn but she did have a break down once or twice! Then we ended the night at "The Melton's" . They hosted a great Halloween/ Football party!! Yay Tennessee!!! Hope everyone else had a great Halloween! I only have two pictures because my camera was dead:( It seems to always happens to me when I really need it!
