cabins Again.....

Matthew's Birthday ...SO I planned another trip to Gatlinburg for one night at a cabin with all of his friends and wives/girlfriends. There was a total of 19 people there throughout the night. The cabin was gorgeous( thank you Dustin for knowing people in high places :)!!!) Matt and I had a blast and are so blessed to have wonderful friends in our lives!! We do not get to see these awesome people nearly enough!! I wanted to be good with the camera but as the night went on I didn't get that many pictures! Enjoy and thank you everyone for coming to the cabin:-)

Isn't it funny when you fight with someone your whole life and then they become your best friend???? I love this guy so much and I am so lucky he is my brother and friend :)

Dustin trying to watch the game and smile for me.......
I have some more pictures that I will try and get up soon but that is all for now!

Birthday Fun!!!!!!!

So I am going to back-up to January and start off with Baylee Birthday! Baylee turned 9 this year and it is going by so stinkin' fast!!! This year Baylee and Haveyn wanted to go on a trip for their Birthday presents so we and the "Stooksbury's" rented a cabin in Pigeon Forge for the weekend! It was awesome to get away for the weekend. The weekend before this, Baylee and Haveyn had a slumber party to hang out with their friends...So basically the WHOLE month of January was dedicated to her Birthday.......(she found out early how to do "birthday month")

too good to be true......

Just when I thought I had made my first surprise party come true.....I DIDN'T!! with only 115 hours, 24 minutes and oh say 54 seconds left to hold all this excitement in ...that is when this party was no longer considered a "surprise" party :-( Well I can say that I am not surprised about this and for the ones reading this and know me I am sure you are not surprised either! So it all happened like this....... we were driving home from eating dinner for Matt's birthday talking about the fact that I had a "romantic" getaway surprise for him.....Baylee has heard me talking about the surprise that actually involved about 15 more people so definitely not romantic but a chance to see our close friends and celebrate Matthew being 28....... so I asked Matt if our friend Ron had moved this past weekend and out of no where Baylee yells (not meaning too :) " Ron's going to the surprise!!!" we all started dying laughing and Matt responded "Wow real romantic me, you and Ron!!!" So that's that!!! He knows and is very excited that we are not going to Biltmore for the weekend(haha!!!) He later told me that he thought we might be going to Biltmore and he wasn't that excited about it! I always talk about Biltmore! Maybe next year I will succeed!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I will fill you in on Monday on my excitement:) Love lots!!!!!

Back to the 80's..........

So this year Baylee says " Mom I want to be someone from the 80's...." with the same voice I would use for the 30's. Wow...Baylee thinks of the 80's like I do the 30's...Is it really that long ago??!?! Nah I don't think...So we decided that we would hit up the Goodwills and try to come up with costumes...and we did. It was absolutely humerous. I'm not sure if we were 80's or clowns from the 80's....but it was a blast. We went to "The Melton's" after we Trick or Treated with Baylee and her Bestest Friend Haveyn.....

Poor Mattison really didn't know what to think...

L.O.V.E. Townsend, Tennessee.......

I am sure you all have either been to Townsend or heard of it...I sure hope that you have been there. If not and you love the mountains you should definitely take a trip. My Mimi and Pop have a cabin on the creek in Townsend....We L.O.V.E. it. It is sooo fun all year around. Last weekend Aunt Shelly, Theresa and friends came from Florida to Tennessee for a weekend visit! They stayed at the cabin and we joined them on Friday night and Sunday! We had so much fun hanging out eating and listening to music sitting by the creek! Thank you Amber for the music! You were awesome! Matt and I actually went back to Townsend this past weekend but of course my camera was dead. BUT....we went on the Roaring Fork Motor Trail in Gatlinburg..Matt had been wanting to go on this trail for years but we never really had the chance....but we did this past weekend, which was perfect (except as I mentioned earlier...camera dead) but I do have mental pictures which let me tell you it was gorgeous. The first time I had ever seen 6 inches of snow on yellow and red leaved trees! It was gorgeous. I highly recommend this place to everyone! There are tons on hiking trails and BEAUTIFUL scenery! We loved it! It is closed in the winter due to the road conditions because there are NO guard rails and just enough room for your vehicle while climbing the curvy mountains! We had an awesome two weekends in Townsend and may go again this coming weekend :)

thank you Mimi and Pop for letting us enjoy the cabin!!
